A new airless bike tire could make bike flats a thing of the past.

A flat tire is never fun and it can even mean a long walk home if you're caught without a patch kit and pump. The Utah-based company "Nexo" introduces flat-free tires and they come in 2 different versions: one for installing on existing wheels with a lifespan of 3,100 miles, and one that replaces the entire wheel with a lifespan of up to 5,000 miles. The Swedish “Hövding” bike helmet is an airbag for your head

There is a new kind of "helmet" that’s light, inconspicuous, and plump with padding: the Swedish Hövding device. It wraps like a sash around the neck and explodes into a fat air-pillow on event of a crash. The airbag is designed like a hood and made in an ultra-strong nylon fabric that won't rip when scraped against the ground.
