Japan McDonald’s Restaurants Sell Hot Dogs. It’s Called “McHotDog”.

The McHotDog was introduced in japan in 1995 at some Midwestern located stores as a summer item. UK locations sold hot dogs during the late 1990s and as a seasonal menu item in the summer of 2002. Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, and McDonald’s locations at Toronto Metro Zoo and SkyDome in Toronto offered hot dogs until 1999. Ray Kroc, McDonald’s founder and former CEO, had prohibited the company from selling hot dogs, regardless of potential demand, as he said there’s no telling what’s inside a hot dog’s skin.
